Help with adult-learner competitions at the local mòd (26 and 27 May 2023)
If you are interested in some assistance with preparing for competition S01 (solo singing, mixed, adult learners), and/or competition S04 (poetry recitation, mixed, adult learners), click the relevant link below.
The form asks you for your contact email, what level of Gaelic you have (all learner levels welcome), and which days and times you would be available on. We will go with the day/time that suits the majority. The chosen poem and the chosen song will be aimed to suit the majority of participants.
The sessions will be online (Zoom). There will be four sessions, of 40 minutes each for the poetry competition, and the same for the song competition. The sessions will start after the Easter break, run weekly for three weeks, and then a gap, with a fourth and final session in mòd week as revision.
The sessions start before the deadline for entries (deadline is 28 April) so you'll have a bit of time to realise that you can do it! Participation in the mòd is warmly encouraged, but if you are not completely sure, please don't let that put you off giving the sessions a go.
This is a limited-time commitment to have some fun and learn some Gaelic/build on your skills.
